Wise or foolish?

At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise and five were foolish. The foolish ones took their lamps, and took no oil with them. But the wise ones took oil in their flasks with their lamps. While the bridegroom delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry made: ‘Behold, the bridegroom, come out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out’. But the wise answered saying: No, for there might not be enough for us and for you, rather go to them who sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom arrived, and those who were ready went inside with him to the wedding banquet and the door was shut. Afterwards the other virgins came too, saying: ‘Lord, Lord, let us in!’ And he replied saying: ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you’. Therefore stay alert, for you do not know the day or the hour when the Son of man will come. The most precious gift we can receive in this world is the Holy Spirit, because we have to rely only on Him and no one else. At the moment they needed oil and asked to borrow some, the answer was: GO AND BUY FOR YOURSELVES, which leads us to really think. In the material world, one can borrow a car, a house, clothes, everything we have, but in the spiritual world everyone seeks for themselves, one who seeks always has more and can always give more, and their lamp is always on, in other words, will always be filled with the Holy Spirit. The more we give, the more we receive from God. When a woman is a servant of God, she only cares about giving and never about receiving, she is always available to people, to counsel them, fasting, praying, always willing to make disciples, this is the prudent one and she is always giving and still has more to give, and the foolish one lives making excuses, always tired, thinking she does too much and everyone knows they cannot count on her because she always has an excuse to give, and unfortunately she is in darkness, has nothing to give because she receives nothing, she always needs a service or a prayer from others to become stronger and when she opens her mouth we never see anything strong, merely repetitions from what others have said, because her oil fades, she depends on others to keep her fire. The wise live at the feet of Jesus, while the foolish do not have time to be at His feet, while one is full of God; the other is full of herself and empty of God. We have to evaluate ourselves daily. What is the level of our oil? Is our light always on? Or sometimes yes and sometimes no? Or does it depend on someone to be on? From my daily experience with God, the more we are true servants, the more our Lord honors and enables us, at the same time our oil never fades because we care more about giving than receiving, and He cares to give us what we need...

Who we are is above what we do

A pure heart shows to God what He represents to us. Many speak about God, evangelize and invite others to come to church, read the bible a lot, but practice very little and wonder: Why are the promises not fulfilled? The answer is this: "THEY DO A LOT, BUT PRACTICE VERY LITTLE." Everything we do for God must be accompanied by sincerity, integrity and commitment, because otherwise the things we do for Him will be destroyed by our character which can be a bad behavior, gossip, jealousy, intrigues, nasty comments, judging others, etc. Before, I always wanted to be doing something for God, evangelizing, serving, sacrificing, etc. But, with time, I realized that even though this is important, the most important thing of all is to please God with our thoughts, attitudes, sincere words, keeping our hearts clean, loving those around us, giving our best to them, being servants, or better said: Who we are is above what we do. And God Himself answers us, because we get to know Him, to have a relationship with Him. Today, I do see a lot more answers, because I care more about who I am than what I do. “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him” Colossians 3

Young girls, women and assistants always ask us what being a woman of God is. Each one has a unique experience. All who give their lives on the altar of the Lord Jesus become so special to him, everyone has their own individual experiences. During this journey, I realized that every day we become women of God as we live out what is written. To me this is the biggest difference between a woman of God and an assistant or a pastor's wife. Having a duty or position does not determine whether you are a woman of God or not, but when you live what is written, yes! It determines who you are to God. Often, men will not even know you are of God and one can be unnoticed by them, but not by God. There are many characteristics of woman of God, including: The woman of God is sincere She is a servant above all, not to men, but to the Lord She lives in dependence of the Lord She does not look to others, rather looks at her own life She knows the right time to talk She learns every day, growing spiritually with each experience, whether positive or negative, she learns. She does not give problems, but gives solutions She has good eyes, has the purity from the beginning, maintains the first love She aims to win souls, not to fill a church, but the Kingdom of God She is certain of her salvation She is always a testimony of faith and not of emotion All that is given for her to do, she does it with complete dedication She does not worry about what others think of her, rather what God thinks of her She is a source, a light that generates the energy of God, and bring others into the kingdom of God She is wise and others have pleasure in listening to her. Every woman can be of God if she practices His word. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
